Dial Up VS Wireless

By: Ace Winget

Wireless networks are very important. There are changes being made across the globe to incorporate wireless networking adapters. The reason? They are the new advancement in technology.

Wireless systems are more convenient for people. Wired systems rely on phone lines, while wireless systems do not. Having wireless services means that you have more opportunities to be online in the office, at your home, or even at certain hot spots around town that have a wireless networking adapter.

Having your own wireless system can be convenient because you do not have to rely on other people. You don't have to worry about being bumped off the Internet because there are too many users. This is a fairly common problem with dial-up services.

Wireless systems are also easier to work with. You can connect to the Internet quickly. Dial up systems can be frustrating because it may take a few tries before you can get a good connection, and you have to worry about that connection getting lost if someone in the home accidentally picks up the phone line you are using.

In the past you needed to have a telephone line set up in your home and connected to your computer. That is not the case with wireless systems. That is a nice option for people who do not have telephone services in their home, or who choose to do all their phone conversations through their cell phones.

Before wireless networking adapters were available, each computer needed to be connected to a phone line. If you had multiple computers that you wanted connected to the Internet you needed multiple phone lines. This could get quite expensive.

Wireless services are also more reliable than dial up services. Instead of waiting an hour to download an item with a dial up, you can have much faster speed with wireless systems. Wireless systems generally open picture attachments, downloaded items, and stream video and audio files at a much quicker speed.

Wireless systems also allow you to get on the Internet whenever you would like. You don't have to do any thinking or worrying about whether you are going to be clogging up a phone line if you connect to the Internet. Give wireless networking adapters, routers, and systems a chance today, if you haven't already, and you will be pleasantly surprised by what you find.
